Registration Options
1. The method of registration is determined by whether:
a. you are taking classes non-credit (860 number) or
b. you are taking classes for-credit (5860 and 6860 numbers)
c. You are or are not a current of University of Utah student
2. If you are not currently a University of Utah student and wish to take classes non-credit and wish to pay by credit card on-line, go to https://umarket.utah.edu/socwk/ to access instructions and links. Credit Card payments are accepted through Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. There is an additional $1.00 charge per transaction for this option.
3. If you are a current University of Utah student, you may register for either non-credit or for-credit course numbers by using the Campus Information System, following appropriate deadlines. If you are taking a class to fulfill MSW elective requirement you must register for credit.
4. If you are not currently a University of Utah student and wish to take classes for-credit, call (801) 581-8913 for information on requirements and procedures. (See #3 at FAQ Page)
5. If you are not currently a University of Utah student and wish to take classes non-credit you may do so by filling in the registration form (on adjacent page) and sending it with payment to the College of Social Work. This option is for those wishing to pay by cash (in-person only), check, or purchase order, or those who do not wish to use the on-line credit card payment option.
6. Onsite registration will be available throughout the Summer Institute; however, advance registration is encouraged to assure seating availability. Please go to the Information/Registration Desk in Room 112 in the College of Social Work at least 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the first day of the class you wish to attend. This type of registration is available for all payment options and registration options, with the exception of #4 above. To ensure your class selections are available, it is highly recommended that you call Carrie Allen at (801) 581-8913 before coming to campus to register on-site.
7. Registrants approved for discounts (See #9 at FAQ Page) must register through Carrie Allen, (801) 581-8913.
8. We strongly encourage participants to take advantage of the early bird registration for significant savings and assure space in their chosen classes. If a student registers for at least one class by the early bird registration date, he/she may register on site at the early bird rate.
