About the Artist

Artist Rod MacIver painted the cover image, Great Egret Blue.

Initially, his watercolors appeared only in the publication Heron Dance, but, responding to requests from subscribers, he began offering the original watercolors for sale in 1997. A number of wilderness protection groups and other non-profits have made use of the art in the Heron Dance newsletters, on their website (www.herondance.org) and in their outreach efforts.This is the third year that the University of Utah College of Social Work is honored to showcase art from Mr. MacIver.
