The University of Utah College of Social Work Professional & Community Education (PACE) program provides continuing education and specialized training programs that meet the educational needs of University students, human service agencies, service providers, and members of the community at large. Programming focuses on traditional intervention models, current cutting-edge trends in assessment, prevention, treatment, evidence-based practice models and non-traditional holistic approaches designed to benefit both clients and care-givers.

The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Training Program provides a solid knowledge base, helping students develop treatment skills, offering professional growth opportunities, and promoting effective service delivery to alcohol and drug abuse clients and their families. The curriculum fulfills both the education and practicum (internship) requirements necessary to become a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor in Utah.
