Transportation
We have secured special rates with Express Shuttle for transportation from the Salt Lake International Airport to the Hotel Monaco. The Hotel Monaco is located at 15 West 200 South in downtown Salt Lake. For shuttle reservations, please call 800-397-0773 and let them know you are with the GADE Conference for a special rate of $7.00 per person one way. Please note that Express Shuttle is a ride share service and other guests may be dropped off at their destinations before you arrive at the Hotel Monaco.
If you are flying Delta or SkyWest into Salt Lake City, you will arrive in Terminal 2, and the Express Shuttle representative is at a booth across from baggage carousel #7. All other airlines arrive at Terminal 1, and the Express Shuttle booth is across from baggage carousel #3. If you arrive after midnight, the booths are no longer staffed, so proceed to the phone kiosk in the baggage claim area, look up Express Shuttle's number, give them a call, and they will dispatch a shuttle for you. Please be sure to make your shuttle reservation at least 24 hours prior to your departure for Salt Lake City.
A cautionary note on taking taxis to downtown Salt Lake: cab drivers have been known to take the "long route." Recent estimates from two local cab companies for the one-way fare from the airport to downtown ranged from $17 to $19. It's about a 15-minute ride (or less) from the airport to the hotel.
