Scott W. Boyle is associate professor in the BSW program at the University Of Utah College Of Social Work. His academic experience includes teaching at both the MSW and BSW levels of social work for the past twenty years. His focus has centered on micro and mezzo practice as well as on human behavior in the social environment. He holds a MSW degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Brigham Young University. He began his teaching career at Grambling State University, in the state of Louisiana, where he served as the chair of the Mental Health Committee for eight years. He has coauthored two social work texts as well as a number of articles related to the profession. Dr. Boyle's practice experience has centered on the field of mental health and rehabilitation. He has been employed by numerous psychiatric, rehabilitation, and general medical hospitals providing both inpatient and outpatient clinical services. He has also maintained a private practice for the past twenty-two years. His hobbies include golf, fly-fishing, and traveling.
