Pamela Clarkson Freeman joined the College of Social Work at the University of Utah as an Assistant Research Professor in 2007 and currently serves as the Associate Director of the Social Research Institute. A native of upstate New York, Dr. Freeman received her B.A. in Psychology (1996) from Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY, and a M.S.W. (1999) and Ph.D. in Social Work (2007) from the University of New York at Albany. Dr. Freeman has practiced social work in both public and private agencies, focusing her clinical experience in the fields of child welfare and mental health. In addition to various other projects, Dr. Freeman is currently conducting large projects related to child welfare, adult and early childhood mental health, and immigrant/refugee issues. She currently teaches Program Evaluation and enjoys learning and applying a range of quantitative methods. Out of the office, Dr. Freeman loves to spend time with her family and friends, enjoys the outdoors, fitness, reading, cooking, and entertaining.
