Application Procedures
- Students seeking admission are required to complete an application form. The completed application must be returned to the B.S.W. Program office:
- The student must have completed (or be currently enrolled in) the prerequisite courses.
- The decision to admit a student will be based on a review of all material submitted by the student.
- A completed application will contain:

a. Social Work Admissions Application

b. One copy of the most recent official transcript

c. Personal Statement as described in the application packets

d. Two letters of recommendation

Pre-Requisite Courses
The following *courses must be completed or registered for in order to apply for the program. (A copy of the current semester schedule may be used to show proof of registration):
U of U Course Number Course PSY 1010 General Psychology (4 credits) SOC 1010 Introduction to Sociology (3 credits) POL S 1100 U.S. National Government (3 credits) BIO 1010 or 1210 General Biology (4 credits) SW 2300 Social Welfare as an Institution (3 credits) SW 1010 Social Work as a Profession (3 credits) *Equivalent courses may be substituted upon approval of the B.S.W. Program Director
